Silicone neck stretcher and cervical support for controlled stretching sessions, neck stiffness, muscle tension and discomfort from forward-head posture.

    • The curved upper surface supports the back of the neck during a temporary lying-down stretch.
    • Its open S-shaped structure compresses gradually under body weight and returns to its original form after use.
    • Turn the product over to choose between two different support responses—one more resilient and one more yielding.
    • A separate low head support may be used during the session to help maintain a comfortable head position.
    • Ventilation openings improve airflow around the contact surface.
    • Formed from substantial food-grade silicone rather than lightweight foam or a hollow plastic shell.
    • Non-electric construction backed by a 15-year warranty.

Best for: People who prefer firm, defined neck support and want a reusable tool for short, controlled stretching sessions.

Not ideal for: Anyone looking for a sleeping pillow, overnight cervical support, inflatable traction, powered traction, or soft foam cushioning.

Reversible S-shaped neck support for controlled cervical extension

      Designed Around the Problem

      • A surface soft enough to support the head may compress too much beneath the neck. A rigid neck support may create more pressure than a beginner can comfortably control.
      • We designed Pillow Mate to support the back of the neck independently during short, awake sessions. The head can be supported separately so its position can be adjusted without changing the structural response beneath the neck.
      • The open S-shaped silicone structure flexes under body weight, creating support through both its material and geometry rather than relying on a thick block of foam.
      • A Purpose-Designed 3.94" Height

        • The central neck-supporting area is approximately 3.94 in / 10 cm high—a height selected to create a meaningful but controlled cervical stretch when the product is used for a 15–20 minute session.
        • The broad curved surface supports the back of the neck and distributes contact across the cervical area, rather than concentrating pressure on one narrow ridge.
      • High-Rebound Silicone Support

        • Height alone is not enough. The structure must continue to support the neck after body weight is applied.
        • LittleMum’s substantial silicone construction compresses in a controlled way, then pushes back against the load and returns to its original shape. This rebound helps maintain effective support throughout the session instead of simply flattening beneath the neck.
      • Two Structural Responses

Turn the product over to change how the open structure flexes beneath the neck.

One orientation provides a stronger, more resilient response, while the other allows greater compression for a gentler starting experience. Both responses come from the interaction between the silicone material and the structural geometry—without pumps, air chambers or mechanical adjustment.

Neck stretcher positioning with optional low head support

      How to Use

      • Begin on a supportive bed or padded mat. Choose the more yielding orientation and place the curved section beneath the back of your neck.
      • Support your head with your hands as you lower yourself into position. A low head support may be added temporarily if needed to keep the head comfortable and controlled.
      • Begin with approximately three to five minutes. Increase the duration gradually only when the position remains comfortable and does not increase symptoms.
      • This may suit you if

        • You want firm, defined support beneath the back of the neck during short stretching sessions.
        • You prefer a substantial silicone structure rather than soft foam.
        • You want two support responses in one reversible design.
        • You are willing to begin with short sessions and progress gradually.
        • You can remain awake and monitor your response throughout use.
        • You want a reusable, washable and non-electric neck-stretching tool.
      • Consider another option if

        • You have a recent neck injury, whiplash, fracture, or cervical surgery, including a previous cervical fusion.
        • You have severe osteoporosis, cervical instability, spinal cord compression or myelopathy, a spinal tumour, infection, or another condition that may weaken the cervical spine.
        • You have an aneurysm, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or are pregnant and have not received professional advice about cervical stretching.
        • You require measured or mechanically adjustable cervical traction prescribed for a specific condition rather than a body-weight neck stretcher.
      • What to consider

        • The high-rebound silicone feels firmer and more supportive than conventional foam.
        • Neck length, shoulder shape, body weight and the firmness of the surface can affect how the support feels.
        • One orientation provides a stronger rebound response, while the other allows greater compression; some initial testing may be needed to identify the preferred side.
        • The product is designed to maintain support rather than compress deeply like a soft pillow.
        • Begin gradually if you are unfamiliar with firm cervical stretching.
        • It provides body-weight cervical support, not measured or mechanically controlled traction.
        • It is designed for 15–20 minute stretching sessions rather than overnight use.
      • What it does well

        • Uses a purpose-designed 10 cm central height to create meaningful cervical support during a 15–20 minute stretching session.
        • Maintains effective support under load through high-rebound silicone rather than simply flattening beneath the neck.
        • Provides controlled compression while continuously responding to body weight.
        • Offers two distinct support responses through its reversible open structure.
        • Distributes contact across a broad cervical curve rather than concentrating pressure on one narrow ridge.
        • Remains substantial and stable during use.
        • Returns to its designed shape after repeated compression.
        • Uses a durable one-piece silicone construction with no pumps, air chambers, motors or mechanical components.
High-rebound silicone neck support on the Shore hardness scale

The Right Material for the Job

      • Food-grade silicone provides a smooth contact surface, natural grip, controlled flexibility and shape recovery.
      • The silicone and the geometry therefore perform different but connected roles: the material manages contact, while the structure manages movement and support.
      • At approximately 3.3 pounds/ 1.5 kilograms, it contains significantly more material than a foam neck wedge.

      What to Expect

A Gradual Stretch—not an Instant Correction

With regular 15–20 minute use, this repeated extension position may help:

      • Improve tolerance to cervical extension.
      • Reduce stiffness associated with prolonged forward-flexed posture.
Improve cervical mobility and make a more neutral head position easier to maintain.
      • Gradually reduce the tendency towards forward head posture.
      • Support the restoration of a more natural cervical curve in people with reduced cervical lordosis.
Changes are gradual rather than immediate. Early progress may be noticed as greater comfort in the same position, easier neck movement
and less resistance to extension. Longer-term postural improvement depends on consistent use and is best supported by appropriate neck, upper-back and postural exercises.

      Product Details

      How to Begin

Choose the more yielding orientation for your first session.

Place the product beneath the back of the neck on a supportive bed or padded surface. Lower yourself gradually while supporting your head with your hands.

Begin with approximately three to five minutes. Increase towards ten to fifteen minutes only when the position remains comfortable over several sessions.

Add a low, supportive head pillow if needed. Avoid changing the product orientation, pillow height and session duration all at once.

      Safety & When to Stop

Stop immediately if you experience new or increasing pain, dizziness, visual changes, severe headache, nausea, numbness, tingling, weakness or symptoms travelling into the shoulder, arm or hand.

Do not begin using the product following a recent car accident, fall, whiplash injury, fracture or neck surgery without professional assessment.

Ask a healthcare professional before use if you have osteoporosis, cervical instability, myelopathy, a previous cervical fusion, uncontrolled high blood pressure or another condition that may make cervical stretching unsafe.

Do not continue simply because the position feels intense. Cervical stretching should not require painful pressure.

      FAQ

How is it different from the LittleMum Cervical Traction Apparatus?

The Silicone Neck Stretcher is a compact lying-down tool that provides passive support and temporary stretching through positioning and head weight.

The Cervical Traction Apparatus is a ceiling-mounted system that uses a head halter and parallel extension springs to apply adjustable, measured traction. It requires installation and is intended for users who already know that cervical traction is appropriate for them.

      Will it fit every neck?

No single fixed-size cervical support will suit every person.

The product has a defined height and is not mechanically adjustable. Comfort depends on neck length, head position, shoulder shape, mobility and sensitivity to firm support. People with a shorter or highly sensitive neck may prefer a lower or softer support.

What should the pressure feel like?

You may feel firm, defined support beneath the back of the neck and a gradual stretching sensation.

The position should not produce sharp pain, severe pressure, dizziness, nausea, visual changes, numbness, tingling, weakness or symptoms travelling into the shoulder, arm or hand. Stop immediately if any of these occur.

Should I use it on a bed or on the floor?

Begin on a supportive bed or padded surface so that you can lower yourself gradually while supporting your head with your hands.

A hard floor may make the position feel substantially more intense and is not the best starting surface for a new user.

      Is this a sleeping pillow?

No. It is designed for short, controlled stretching sessions while you are lying down.

Do not use it as an overnight pillow or fall asleep while positioned on it.

How does it stretch the neck?

The curved upper surface supports the back of the neck while the weight of the head creates a gradual, passive stretch.

Its open S-shaped silicone structure compresses under body weight and then returns to its original form after use.

Is this the same as a mechanical cervical traction device?

No. This product provides passive neck support and temporary stretching through positioning and body weight.

It does not apply a measured pulling force and does not use a head halter, springs, weights, air pressure or an electric motor.

Which orientation should I use first?

Begin with the more yielding orientation. This side compresses more easily and normally provides a gentler introduction to the product.

After you are comfortable with the position over several sessions, you may turn it over to try the more resilient orientation. Change only one variable at a time rather than changing the orientation, head support and session duration together.

How long should I use it?

Begin with approximately three to five minutes.

Increase gradually towards ten to fifteen minutes only when the position remains comfortable over several sessions. Do not continue simply to reach a time target.

Can I use it every day?

Short, regular sessions may be suitable for some users, provided the position remains comfortable and does not cause new or increasing symptoms.

Allow your body time to respond before increasing the frequency, duration or intensity. Follow the advice of your healthcare professional if you are using it as part of a treatment plan.

Do I need an additional pillow beneath my head?

Some users may benefit from a separate low head support to maintain a comfortable head position during the session.

Avoid a thick pillow that pushes the head too far forward or completely removes the intended neck support.

Can it permanently restore my cervical curve or correct forward-head posture?

The product supports temporary positioning, controlled stretching and awareness of head and neck posture during use.

It cannot guarantee permanent correction of the cervical curve, realign the spine or reverse structural changes. Posture and neck symptoms are influenced by many factors beyond a single stretching tool.
